Who is Ms. Tafoya?
I'm extremely excited for this year! Your student's learning and success is my top priority. I hope to challenge and inspire your student to grow academically inside and outside of the classroom.
In high school I worked for a summer camp, and I was inspired to become a teacher through this experience. Helping my campers discover and learn more about the natural world around us really inspired me to pursue a career in teaching. I graduated from Central Michigan University(fire up chips!). While at CMU I participated in a variety of student organizations related to teaching and I was even a member of the marching band for 4 years. Currently I am working towards my Master of Education in Teaching and Learning at Wayne State University.
I absolutely love the outdoors. I enjoy camping and hiking throughout the summer. My favorite past time is to take my dog Stella for long walks. A random fact about myself is that I have a goal to one day have traveled and visited all 50 states. So far I have been as far north as Maine and all the way over to Oregon.
Your student’s learning is my top priority. I’m eager to help your student grow academically, while getting to know them and yourself. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me through email or by phone.
Thank you for your support!
